Задание 12
Choose the correct heading for each paragraph. There is one extra heading which you do NOT need to use. A. Do you like Christmas? I think everybody will answer "Yes". Christmas comes once a year, and it's a magical time. Every year I travel to a new country to celebrate Christmas in different places. It means that every celebration is unforgettable for me. Some airlines lower prices before Christmas. Last year I was very lucky and paid only 30 pounds for my flight to Paris. B. There are many open-air Christmas markets in December. It looks like you are in a fairy tale. Lots of sweets, nuts, chocolate cones, kid's toys, nutcrackers and many other things are sold there. If you want to save some money, don't forget to bargain. The sellers are ready to cut the prices on everything at the end of December. I usually buy presents on the 30th or 31st of December. C. Every family has its own Christmas customs. We have mum's pudding for a festive dinner. She makes an amazing orange cream for it. At the end of the day, all of us go out in the street to sing carols and watch fireworks with neighbours. They usually let them off on the riverbank. D. As a kid, I wanted to have a puppy. And once Santa left a big purple box for me. At first, I was scared to open it because I heard some whines* inside it. I slowly untied the bow on top and lifted the cover. I didn't believe my eyes. A small white puppy was inside the box. Now Tinkerbell lives with us. She is already 7. E. It's difficult to believe but some countries don't have snow when it's Christmas. I celebrated Christmas in Spain last year. Kids there couldn't even make snow angels or have a snowball fight. However, every year they have the most beautiful skating rink in Europe. I visited it in Barcelona. Parents, little kids and couples were skating around the decorated Christmas tree. Tons of Christmas lights were shining above their heads. They were laughing and talking. There even was a cafe on the ice. I bought some tea there.
